The Language of Blue: Gaetano La Peruta’s Distinctive Creative Journey

"There wasn’t a single turning point — I’ve simply always followed my passion for drawing, which has been with me since I was a child. I nurtured it throughout high school and continued to grow through self-taught study.Today, I don’t define myself just as a graphic designer, but as a 360-degree creative. I’m constantly evolving, always striving to improve and explore new perspectives to refine my work.It wasn’t one specific project that made me feel I was leaving my mark. Rather, it was the moment when major brands and artists began to trust me with important projects. That’s when I realized my creativity was finding a meaningful space, and my work was starting to truly make an impact.

My style is shaped by a mix of influences. On one side, there’s the world of street art and graffiti — my foundation — from which I draw inspiration for color use, gestures, and visual energy. On the other, I’m influenced by design and architecture, which help me think in a more structured and strategic way.
This balance allows me to work across different styles while maintaining a strong visual identity. In every project, I try to understand what the client wants, but I always reinterpret it through my own lens. I enjoy experimenting with various styles, though my personal preference remains tied to urban art and the use of blue, which I continue to explore in my personal projects. My goal is to reach a point where my style — rooted in urban culture and defined by the exclusive use of blue tones — becomes instantly recognizable.

I want people to look at my work and know it’s mine, without hesitation. I want my visuals to become a unique signature, a personal take on the urban world that stands out for its intensity and coherence.
The dream is to make a lasting impact — in both the art world and the visual communication space — and bring my vision to increasingly broader and more recognized contexts."
